The two black sheep of the Doxa familia: Sub 200 and Sub 600T, and I love them both

Saturday night protocol: tall cans of rice brew, and the Inspector asked me to slap a video, so here I am, unscripted, for no real reason. My channel is finished, but this one's for Mr Jun the Vulcan and George the Inspector.

Two of Doxa's most underrated twerps side by side: the Sub 200, my beater on a Strap Habit FKM tropic, and the Sub 600T Caribbean, probably the least loved member of the family. Bezels, lume, the bracelet and a thickness measurement on my 19.5cm wrist.

Too close to call

No winner: they're the two black sheep of the Doxa familia and I love them both. The Sub 200 is the comfortable, accurate beater I never liked until I got one; the 600T is the unique one, thick but 40mm, with most of it in the Thunderdome. A final flourish in the world of twerpy.

People say it's an Omega Seamaster knockoff, but it isn't; the lume is rubbish, as it should be for a Doxa, but as my beater it's incredibly comfortable, very accurate and a pure pleasure to wear, and I paid half the 1,090 pounds.

Doxa Sub 600T Caribbean

9/10 · Beyond thunderdome

Something unique with nothing really like it: an excellent time lord with a lovely bezel and decent lume, lovely links on an old-fashioned bracelet that jangles and has an awful stamped dive extension, and 14.3mm thick but mostly in the dome.
