Comfortable as hell, cheap on the strap: the SRPE93 Turtle, sliver and all
Everybody loves a Turtle
Mr Jun's SRPE93, black dial, November 2022. The Gen 2 Turtle. They changed the caseback text to 'diver's watch' from 'air diver's', and they put a loom sliver at 3. Other than that, it's the same watch. 4R36, 200 metres. I really love this one. Really nice watch. Very comfortable. 45 mil, wears small. The loom is good.
Get rid of it immediately
Now the bad. They cheaped out on giving you a bracelet and stuck it on rubber. And that loom sliver at 3:00? Get rid of it. Immediately. Immediately. In the Seiko Sunday video I said the bezel action was very nice, not too bad. In the Mr Jun box video I was less kind. Make of that what you will. I put it on a UK Straps tropic for 12 quid, a tropical bonanza, and Mr Jun's got it on a Strapcode Retro Razor. Look at the quality of that bracelet.
Verdict
Turtles: everybody loves a Turtle. Lovely watch, extremely comfortable. Just lose the sliver and the rubber. Never give up.
