A strange-looking little tool watch he really loves, with a bezel he rates above the 62MAS; let down by the bracelet and the retail price. Buy used, wear on rubber.
The winner: Seiko SRPE93 Turtle (black dial)
There's something for everyone and they're both great, but the price difference is a joke: the Willard gets a slightly bigger power reserve and a sapphire crystal, and both have aluminium bezels. Willard just about wins the lume, but at more than double the price I'm not convinced. The Turtle is the one I highly recommend.
