FKM rubber for 12 quid: just the same as a hundred-pound Tropic, and devastating with it
So impressed I had to film it
Welcome back, bros. Quick review tonight, because I've been so impressed with this FKM rubber strap that I bought for my little Duro. He came on an awful strap, and I upgraded it to a Tropic-style FKM, fluoroelastomer, strap. I've been so impressed with the way it's changed this little watch that I wanted to show it off to all of you.
Look at it. Quick-release spring bars, which are quite nice. And it's very, very soft. Extremely supple and comfortable.
Twelve fifty, bros
These are from UK Straps on eBay, but loads of eBay vendors sell exactly the same straps. They all look exactly the same. They're very good for 12 pound 50 to 13 pounds, and buy two or three and you get a discount, so about 11 pounds each. They really are great. The real Tropic straps sell for God knows how much, a hundred pounds or something. These are just the same. It's just a rip-off. I'd rather save up and buy a new twerp.
The orange one
I bought this orange one for the Doxa last summer, from the same company, and it's equally good. That's a 20 mm; the Duro's is a 22. Thread him onto the 300T. What a beautiful piece. It's not quite a perfect colour match, but there it is. Absolutely proper.
Verdict
UK Straps, eBay vendors, they all sell the same ones, and for 12, 13 quid you really can't go wrong. If you're going on holiday and you want to save your bracelets and lighten up your watches a bit, these guys are devastating. Stay freaky, remain at the beach, never give up.
