The SBDX017 rubber on my SLA023: looks amazing, holes in my wrist

A quick one in my pyjamas, for all SLA and Marinemaster owners. I've always loved the rubber strap from the SBDX017, the previous generation of Marinemaster, so I found an original OEM one from Watch Parts Plaza in Holland and put it on my SLA023.

First I show you the silicone strap that comes with the new Marinemasters, then the old 017 strap: one comfortable, one gorgeous, and only one of them is both.

The verdict

The SBDX017 strap really does look the part on the SLA023, and I love it. But it's not comfortable, I'm not going to lie, and the original silicone strap is way more comfortable. Bear that in mind before you buy one.

Extremely comfortable, lightweight and well made, with a gigantic brushed and polished keeper, but it's silicone, so the stains of our past remain forever.

It looks amazing and I'm very pleased I bought it, but it's extremely stiff, more plastic than rubber, and it leaves holes indented in your wrist.
